Dick and Linda McIntosh, Franchise Owners
A local Austin couple opened a Seniors Helping Seniors® franchise to foster relationships between seniors seeking employment and seniors who need help to continue living in their own homes.
Dick McIntosh, former television reporter and news director in Texas and Minnesota recently sold his carpet and air duct cleaning business of 16 years. His wife, Linda, has worked as a legal secretary in Florida and Texas and now works as in marketing research at the Hormel Foods corporate office. Linda was recently featured in the company magazine.
“Linda and I relish the opportunity to offer the Seniors Helping Seniors® franchise as a great way to provide a meaningful service to our community,” Dick McIntosh said. “Linda and I are very involved in our community and our family has a tradition of caring for others. My mother cared for her mother the last six of her 107 years. As members of the baby boomer generation, Linda and I understand how important staying in our own home is.”
Non-medical services provided may include, but are not limited to, companion care, respite care, light housekeeping, meal preparation, transportation, handyman and yard care.

- In-home care, companionship, and services from seniors who enjoy helping others.
- Reasonable hourly rates for seniors who want care and companionship.
- Reasonable hourly wages to seniors who want to provide these services.
About Our Founders
Seniors Helping Seniors® in-home care service was co-founded by Kiran and Philip Yocom in order to realize Kiran’s personal mission of providing care for those who can’t care for themselves. Before coming to the United States from India, Kiran worked with Mother Teresa for 14 years.
How We've Grown
From our roots in Pennsylvania, and our first match in 1998, Seniors Helping Seniors® has grown to include hundreds of locations in the US and Internationally. We continue to grow and evolve, adding new services to better assist seniors and refining our caregiver training as new industry best practices come to light.
